“Tension is who you think you should be. Relaxation is who you are.” ~ Chinese Proverb
We all know how different it feels to be in a state of deep relaxation versus being stressed out. But not all of us are versed in transforming the fragmented feelings and thinking patterns of stress into the serene amplitude of relaxation. Relaxation is essential for our health´s optimal function, which can be described as harmony between the elements of a system.
When we are relaxed, our thoughts, emotions, and ability to do what matters to us are in balance. There is so little friction to this harmonious relationship that it can synchronize the various interconnected systems that sustain health itself, giving rise to what´s known as psychophysiological coherence: a beneficial state in which the heart, mind, and emotions are operating at optimal level.
This concept of “harmonic health” is at the core of our work, and the very reason why, in order to effectively tackle stress in the most harmonious way possible, we turned to nature for inspiration.
